The original website was a static HTML build from earlier years — fine on desktop, awkward on mobile, and increasingly hard to keep current. Most prospective patients find a healthcare clinic on a phone now; a non-responsive site is a measurable barrier to bookings.
The build threaded a useful balance between cost and capability. Rather than commissioning a fully bespoke theme, the foundation came from a quality commercial WordPress theme — a cost-effective starting point that keeps the build accessible for a small clinic. From there, targeted customisations layered on the things the theme couldn't quite handle out of the box: a dynamic location map showing the clinic in proper context, mobile optimisation tightened beyond the theme's defaults, and contact and security plugins integrated cleanly.
The result is a website that looks bespoke without the bespoke price tag — a pragmatic build that delivers a solid mobile experience, a clearly-mapped location, and a clinic-owned WordPress dashboard the team can update directly.
