Property Wise Launceston
A custom WordPress property portal for a Launceston property manager, replacing an expensive subscription platform and pulling live listings from Inspect Real Estate via API.
Overview
propertywiselaunceston.com.auProperty Wise Launceston is a property management specialist in northern Tasmania. They were paying a substantial monthly subscription for a listing platform that didn't fit how they wanted to present properties and offered little customisation. The first build replaced it with a self-hosted WordPress portal. Since then, live listings flow in from Inspect Real Estate via API, so the team manages listings in the system they already use and the website stays in sync.

The Project
A property portal that's actually theirs.
Property Wise Launceston traded an expensive locked-in subscription for a self-hosted portal that pulls live listings straight from Inspect Real Estate.
Most real estate websites live with the same compromise: pay a hefty monthly subscription to an industry platform that handles listings well, and accept you can never make it look or behave the way you want. Property Wise Launceston had paid that bill for years.
The first phase replaced that platform with a self-hosted WordPress build: a lightweight listing plugin for the property structure and a custom theme for the design. Later, listings moved to a direct API feed from Inspect Real Estate. The team manages every property in the system they already use, and the website picks up each change without anyone touching WordPress.
The business now owns its portal, and it works with the tools they already use.
