NW Pelvic Health

NW Pelvic Health is a specialist physiotherapy practice covering pelvic health on Tasmania's North West coast. When the project started, the business was new and didn't yet have a digital presence — no brand, no website, no search visibility. The brief was to build all three from the ground up, with a particular eye on local SEO so the practice could compete with much larger healthcare groups for the searches that actually drive new patients.

The brand identity was developed first — a visual language that needed to feel professional and clinical without being cold. Pelvic physiotherapy is a sensitive area of healthcare, and the brand had to invite trust from patients who often arrive at the practice after a long search for someone who can help.

The website was built on Wagtail, an open-source Django-based CMS. Wagtail makes sense for content-driven sites where the client needs genuine editorial control without complexity — service pages, FAQ content, and team bios can all be updated in-house. Underneath, the build is heavily performance-optimised: minimal JavaScript, optimised images, and clean server-side rendering deliver a site that loads near-instantly even on slower regional connections.

Local SEO was integrated from the start — schema markup, page structure, and content all targeting North West Tasmania pelvic health searches. The site has consistently held first-page positions for the practice's most important search terms, out-ranking national chains and much bigger Hobart-based competitors in the local market.
