Squarespace works well as a starting point but quickly hits its ceiling as a business grows — limited customisation, awkward content workflows, and email/file hosting handled separately and inconsistently. The brief covered both halves of the problem: migrate the website to a properly managed WordPress build, and bring email and file hosting onto Google Workspace for proper enterprise-grade collaboration.

Cocoon Paediatrics needed more than Squarespace could give them — a properly managed website, enterprise email and file hosting, and infrastructure that wouldn't need babysitting.
Cocoon Paediatrics is a private paediatric clinic that had outgrown its original setup. Squarespace had been a perfectly reasonable starting point — fast to launch, no developer required — but as the practice grew, the limitations had become a daily friction. Customisation was bounded, the editing workflow felt clunky, and email and file hosting were handled in a separate ad-hoc way that wasn't really pulling its weight.
The website piece moved across to a properly designed WordPress build with a custom theme — same content, refreshed visual direction, and a content workflow the team can actually use. The site was hosted on Australian infrastructure through PHAS, so the practice gets fast load times for local visitors and the kind of reliability and support a healthcare business needs.
Alongside the website work, the engagement covered the email and collaboration side too. Google Workspace was set up across the team — enterprise email at the practice's own domain, shared drives for clinical documentation, calendars and video meetings handled through one connected suite. DNS and email authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) were configured properly so that messages actually land in patients' inboxes rather than spam folders.
The result is a clinic running on infrastructure that matches the standard of the actual care — properly thought through, properly maintained, and not constantly demanding attention.
