I started out looking after their hosting and maintenance. Over time it became clear the existing site was holding the Foundation back, and the work grew into a full redesign and rebuild, including a new donations flow and events calendar.

What started as hosting and maintenance grew into a full redesign, with donations, events, and a website that does justice to the Foundation's work.
The Newsboys Foundation funds Victorian community organisations working with young people who would otherwise miss out. It needed a website that reflected that work and made it easy for grant applicants, partner organisations and donors to do what they came to do.
Looking after hosting and maintenance for the existing WordPress site showed me how it was really being used, and that the build was working against the Foundation. The site was slow, the navigation didn't match how visitors moved through the content, and donations and event listings were either missing or awkwardly bolted on.
The redesign covered all of it: an accessible new design, a structure rebuilt around what visitors need to find, and a proper donations system and events calendar built into the rest of the site. Ongoing development continues, well beyond keeping the lights on.
