The brief was to turn what they'd bought into a working, polished website and add the customisations they needed.

The Project
A bought-in theme, finally turned into a working website.
Fred and Hannah had the theme, the photography and a clear vision. What they didn't have was the patience to wrestle a commercial WordPress theme into shape.
For a photography business the website is a portfolio and a sales pitch in one, so the visuals have to be right. Fred and Hannah had bought a commercial theme with the look they wanted, then found what every theme buyer finds: the demo isn't the real experience, and getting from "purchased" to "live and working" is more work than the listing suggests.
I handled everything from initial configuration to the small customisations a generic theme can't provide. The navigation was redesigned around how their work is actually organised, not the demo's placeholder categories. Social sharing was added across the site. Visual and structural refinements brought the build closer to what Fred and Hannah had in mind.
The result is the website they thought they were buying when they purchased the theme.
